About Thomas McCormack

Thomas McCormack is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a fellow member of RICS. Thomas is a Senior Commercial Director in multinational company in Saudi Arabia. He has 45 years of extensive experience in commercial / contract management, and a proven track record of success in both the public and private sector in delivering projects on time and within a budget. Working for both the client and contractor sides of the business across an international arena in Ireland, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE and Qatar. Thomas has expertise in all forms of contract, JCT, NEC, and has a good knowledge of the FIDIC, standard public Saudi contracts and bespoke contracts. He has expertise in contract practice & administration, negotiation, risk management, subcontractor management, claims & change management. Thomas is mentoring and motivating dozens of young surveyors in his Saudi Arabia to become future chartered surveyors. As a trusted advisor, Thomas specialises in commercial, delay and engineering matters, with a focus on claims management and dispute resolution. His leadership has been crucial in navigating complex projects and disputes, particularly in mixed use of development and infrastructure sectors. He has expertise and a proven track record of preparing contract documents, claims and resolving contractual issues. Clients engaged by over this time include, as follows; - Arab Potash Company (Jordan); NEDECO (the Netherlands); Fluor (USA); Intel Corporation (USA); Merck (USA), Eli Lilly (USA); Issam K. Thomas also established and ran his own Cost Consultancy business for over 14 years in Ireland, before moving to Saudi Arabia in 2012.
